DAYSPRING and G STUDIOS recently signed a new licensing agreement allowing DaySpring to develop and market The Land of Milk and Honey baby stationery and gift items to Christian retail. The brand will launch with a significant publishing and licensed branded-product program this year through about 15 major licensees including DaySpring, Simon & Schuster novelty storybooks, Enesco Gifts, Gund plush, Harvest House gift books, and Madacy Entertainment music CDs. DaySpring is developing two gender-specific scrapbooking kits, a
gender-neutral baby memory book, a first handprint & footprint frame set, first-year calendar, and a keepsake box.
TOMMY NELSON recently purchased Pamplin Entertainment’s popular Bibleman brand and product catalog, giving Tommy Nelson all brand rights, including catalog and future titles, licensing rights, and the live Bibleman road show. Catalog titles begin shipping through Thomas Nelson this month, with a brand relaunch and the first DVD in an all-new “Bibleman” series. A multi-tiered marketing strategy will encompass catalog and new DVD titles, forthcoming books, the live touring show, and collaborations with licensee partners Talicor and Covenant Studios.
BIG IDEA and SIMON & SCHUSTER are developing a new series. Simon & Schuster will publish “Veggie Tales” color & activity books. Through its “Simon Scribbles” division, S & S collaborated with Big Idea on the color & activity books releasing in June.
