For example, the devotional entitled “ Because of Mercy, Peace, and Love” says “what makes your day meaningful, is that God is in it.” Lessin explains, “He has sustained you through the night and greeted you with new mercies at mornings light, and promised to direct your steps until day’s end.”

With a salvation definition at the beginning and the sprinkling of Scripture from various Bible translations, Today Is My Best Day would make an excellent starter devotional for a new Christian. Retailers would be prudent to position it as such.
